My Why
My first birth lasted 55 hours. I pushed for five. It was full of wires, bright lights, and decisions made for me, not with me. I didn't get the golden hour. I didn't even hold my baby first.
But when my doula walked in, everything shifted. I felt seen. I felt strong. I realized how powerful it is to have someone in your corner. Not telling you what to do, but helping you find your voice.
Then came my second birth, the one that showed me what was possible. I labored at home, pushed for 15 minutes, and walked out feeling like I'd just run errands.
